Blackall and Elwell was formed in 1922, a partnership of Robert Murray Blackall and Stanley Bruce Elwell.  Blackall previously had been a draftsman in his father’s firm, Blackall, Clapp, and Whittemore.  Elwell had been a partner in the firm of Grandgent and Elwell.

Blackall and Elwell dissolved their partnership in about 1929.
