C. A and F. N. Russell was a partnership of Cornelius A. Russell and Fred Newton Russell (probably Cornelius Russell’s uncle), formed in about 1903; Fred N. Russell previously had worked as a draftsman in Cornelius Russell’s office. The firm listed itself as “architects and real estate,” and probably engaged in designing and building houses on speculation. Most of their work appears to have been residential buildings in the Roxbury area, where they offices were located. They remained partners until about 1918, after which they each continued as sole practitioners.
