The following is an index to property transfer deeds and easements recorded at the Suffolk County Deed Registry from the original land purchase until conversion of the building into condominium units. Mortgages, trust agreements, and other similar recorded documents are not included. This index is intended as a guide only; actual deeds should be reviewed for details.
NOTE: The deed recorded in Book 7413, page 1 (30Jul1959) incorrectly states that the the property is 2,160 square feet in size. This inaccuracy – which is repeated in all subsequent deeds — is based on a calculation of the property being 40 feet (N-S) by 54 feet (E-W), omitting a three foot wide strip at the rear (East boundary) of the property acquired on August 1, 1873. In fact, the property is 2,280 square feet in size, based on 40 feet (N-S) by 57 feet (E-W), as correctly stated in the deed recorded in Book 7351, page 404 (29Oct1958) and in earlier deeds.

| Easement: The original deeds for the houses at 3-5 Gloucester included a three foot wide easement at the rear (east boundary) to provide passage and drainage to the alley for 3-5-7 Gloucester. On August 1, 1873, after the houses were built, the owners acquired an additional three foot strip to the east, which also included an easement for passage and drainage, creating a six foot wide easement. On the same day, the owners agreed to eliminate the earlier easement so that the passageway would be three feet wide at the eastern boundary of their property. | |||||||||
