Index to Deeds: 443 Beacon

The following is an index to property transfer deeds and party wall and building restriction agreements recorded at the Suffolk County Deed Registry from the original land purchase through December 31, 2017.  Mortgages, trust agreements, and other similar recorded documents are not included.  This index is intended as a guide only; actual deeds should be reviewed for details.

Note: The deed recorded in Book 1215, p. 186 (25May1874) correctly indicates that the eastern boundary of the premises is 102 feet west of the westerly line of Hereford Street.  The deed recorded in Book 5400, p. 406 (10Jul1933) incorrectly indicates that the line is located 104 feet west of the westerly line of Hereford.  This erroneous description is repeated in all subsequent deeds.

Building restrictions in land transfer deed, effective for a period of ten years from the date of the deed, for the benefit of the owner of 443 Beacon, specifying (1) that the front wall of any building built at 441 Beacon must be set back the same distance from Beacon Street as the front line of the present adjoining building of Amelia Braman at 443 Beacon; and (2) the rear of any building built at 441 Beacon may not extend more than two feet further south than the rear line of 443 Beacon, with the exception that an octagon bay may extend no more than 4.5 feet further south
