Ralph Gilbert Stebbins was born on January 25, 1882, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of George J. Stebbins and his wife, Adaline E. Watkins (daughter of George H. Watkins).

He married on September 6, 1910, to Mary E. Drugan (b. Jan1882 in Boston; d. by 1920), daughter of Edward P. Drugan and his wife, Catherine W. Carroll.

He married second in 1923, in Watertown, to Margaret M. McDonnell (b. 1886 in Ireland or MA), daughter of Charles McDonnell and his wife, Mary Higgins.

Ralph Stebbins died on January 20, 1954, in Milton.

Career

Ralph Stebbins graduated from MIT in 1906. By 1909, he had become an architect in partnership with his maternal uncle, Charles H. Watkins. They remained partners until about 1932. From the mid-1920s, he also was Vice President of the Frank Irving Cooper Corporation, architects. In 1933, he became president of that firm. He remained in that position until about 1941.
