Theophilus Parsons Briggs was born on October 30, 1813, in East Bridgewater, the son of William Briggs and his wife, Betsey Hudson (daughter of Nathan Hudson).
He married on November 13, 1844, in Boston, to Susan Alden Richards (b. 27Dec1818 in Newton; d. 9Nov1887 in Boston), daughter of James Richards and his wife, Sally (LNU).
Theophilus Briggs died on July 11, 1879, in Boston.
Career
Theophilus Briggs was listed as a housewright in the Boston City Directories from the late 1830s. By the 1860s, he described himself as a carpenter, but appears to have continued to both design and build houses.
