Personal Data

Charles H, Davies was born in 1843-1844 in Boston, the son of Daniel Davies and his wife, Amity B. Hastings (daughter of Samuel Hastings).

He married first on October 1, 1866, in Boston, to Mary A. Stevens (b. 26May1841 in Boston; d. 2Jan1873 in Boston), daughter of Charles F. Stevens and his wife, Sarah (LNU).  He married second on June 18, 1874, in Boston, to Ella J. Sanders (b. Jul1851 in MA; d. 15Mar1903 in Cambridge), daughter of Homer Sanders and his wife, Mary Jane (LNU).

Charles Davies died on February 7, 1884, in Boston.

Career

Charles Davies and his father were housewrights and carpenters, partners in the firm of Daniel Davies and Son.  Daniel Davies died in June of 1878.  Charles Davies continued to business, as Daniel Davies and Son, until his death in February of 1884.
